In fall 2017, I published a piece in Duke University Press's World Policy Journal on how policies under Shinzô Abe, including a proposed constitutional revision, seek to strengthen the neoliberal order at the expense of women.
Keiko Kondo, the director of Japan's National Women's Shelter Network (ShelterNet), inspired me to think more about the links militarization and intimate violence against women in the context of post-3/11 rally-around-the-flag rhetoric.
